Native to the Amazon Basin, inhabiting riverbanks and swamps in Peru, Brazil, and Guyana.
頭部橘紅，身體綠鱗厚重如鎧甲，尾巴扁平，外型酷似迷你鱷魚。
Orange-red head, green armor-like scales, and a flat tail give it a crocodile-like appearance.
半水棲生活型態，擅長游泳與潛水，日行性，個性穩定且可馴化。
Semi-aquatic and diurnal; excellent swimmers with a calm and tamable disposition.
主要以螺貝類為主食，也會吃魚、甲殼類與水果。
Specializes in eating snails, but also consumes fish, crustaceans, and fruit.
飼養時需提供大面積水域與陸地結合空間，並保持水質清潔與高濕度。
Requires a large enclosure with both land and water, clean water, and high humidity.
適宜溫度：白天 28–32°C，夜間不低於 24°C；UVB 照明與熱點必備。

Ecological Notes
