體表呈現亮藍至深藍黑色花紋，尾部佔全長一半以上，擅長攀爬與保持平衡。
Displays bright blue-to-black reticulated scales; its tail accounts for over half of its total length, aiding in climbing and stability.
性格警覺而聰明，具高度環境敏銳度，能熟悉飼主的行為與照護節奏。
Highly alert and intelligent, capable of recognizing familiar caretakers and environmental routines.
主要以昆蟲、鳥蛋與小型脊椎動物為食。
Feeds on insects, bird eggs, and small vertebrates.

Varanus macraei is an island species found exclusively on Batanta Island in Indonesia’s Raja Ampat archipelago. Known for its stunning metallic-blue scales and elegant posture, it is one of the most striking tree-dwelling monitors in the world.It inhabits humid lowland forests below 500 meters, spending most of its time in the canopy. Agile, intelligent, and alert, the Blue Tree Monitor uses its prehensile tail for balance and navigation, showcasing remarkable spatial memory and environmental awareness.
