Native to the high-altitude cloud forests of Mexico, thriving among humid, moss-covered treetops. 體色呈藍綠或翠綠色，鱗片具金屬光澤，被譽為「樹梢上的藍寶石」。

Exhibits bluish-gray to turquoise skin with orange spots, and has various color morphs under captive breeding. 夜行性，白天休息、夜間活躍，喜歡攀附於牆面或高處。
