黑樹巨蜥來自印尼阿魯群島，是巨蜥家族中少數擁有「捲握尾」的樹棲物種。全身漆黑如碳的鱗片與高智商的互動反應，讓牠們被玩家譽為夢幻的「黑龍」。

Native to the Aru Islands; evolved a melanistic (all-black) coloration for thermoregulation and camouflage. - 擁有巨蜥中極罕見的「可捲曲尾巴」，功能如同猴子尾巴，能輔助抓握樹枝。
Possesses a fully prehensile tail (rare among monitors), used like a fifth limb for gripping branches. - 智商極高且好奇心強，經過馴化後（Tame down）能與飼主建立高度信任與互動。

Strictly carnivorous/insectivorous with a high metabolism; requires frequent feeding. - 適宜溫度：熱點區需達 40-45 °C（極度喜熱），環境濕度需維持 70% 以上。
